Kouider Morabet, better known as Cheb Kader, born in in Oran, Algiers, from Moroccan origins, a singer, songwriter / composer and pioneer of rai music in France since Cheb Kader was barely nine years old when he joined his father in France. His father, a musician himself, encouraged his son to pursue music, and both created a small band with dad playing the flute and Cheb Kader.

The musical traditions of Algeria are fused with modern influences by Kader, "the prince of rai." In his music he is examining the role of women and artists in modern society and the problems caused by immigration.
